Practice Overview
Daniel's main areas of specialisation are chancery and property litigation, onshore and offshore trusts litigation, and professional negligence. He aims always to give clear, sound, pragmatic and commercial advice which draws on his extensive experience of a wide range of legal problems.
Recent matters with which he has been involved include, in the field of commercial litigation the rectification of a contract for the transfer of a hedge fund business to a limited liability partnership, a dispute concerning the supply of a bespoke software suite for manufacturing, and a dispute concerning the supply of an accounting software package.
Private client matters include various complex breach of trust claims, setting aside trusts for mistake; big money divorce cases involving trusts; money laundering and asset confiscation claims and trustees' applications for directions in complex matters. Professional liability cases have involved actuaries' liability, solicitors' liability, barristers' liability, surveyors' liability and accountants' liability.
Real property cases have involved the acquisition of rights of land by prescription or adverse possession; the enforceability and construction of land options; restrictive covenants; and the enforcement of contracts for the sale or lease of land.
