Stephen's work covers all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency, and has appeared in over 80 reported insolvency cases.

In March 2009 he was elected president of the Insolvency Lawyers' Association.

During 2009 he has advised in many high-profile insolvencies. In addition to addressing new problems and issues arsing out of the global credit crunch, he continues to specialise in failed PFI/PPP projects, sports insolvencies and clawback claims.
