Christopher has substantial experience of litigating trust disputes both in England and offshore.  (He does not undertake tax or estate planning advice). 

Recent and notable cases include:

• Acted for respondent wife in Court of Appeal as to treatment of offshore trusts in ancillary relief applications, and subsequently in relation to enforcement action offshore: Charman v Charman [2007]. 
  
  
• Acting for husband in relation to trust aspects of ancillary relief application [ongoing].
  
  
• Acted for administrator of Norwegian estate in long-running litigation in the Cayman Islands claiming the assets of offshore trusts.  This included an appeal to the Privy Council on the validity of charitable trusts: A-G of Cayman Islands v Wahr-Hansen [2000].
  
  
• Acting for Cayman Island trustees in defending multi-million dollar claim for breach of trust [ongoing].
  
  
• Acting for protector in litigation concerning ownership of Gibraltar trusts [ongoing].
  
  
• Retained by English trustees to give expert evidence on English trust law in malicious prosecution action in California [2004].
