Christopher's practice includes a significant amount of professional liability work, especially in relation to the technical aspects of pensions and property.  He has acted for claimants and defendants in relation to claims against actuaries, investment advisers, solicitors, directors and trustees.

Recent and notable cases include:

• Acted for successful respondents in the Court of Appeal on the question when time started running for limitation purposes in a claim concerning assignment of leases: 3M v Linklaters & Paines [2005].
  
  
• Acted for defendant actuaries in a claim relating to equalisation of pension ages [2008].
  
  
• Acted for claimant trustees in another claim relating to equalisation of pension ages: Harland & Wolff v Aon [2009].
  
  
• Acting for developer in claim against solicitors for misdrafting development contract [ongoing].
