Edward has acted for both claimants and defendants in a wide range of claims against professionals including solicitors, accountants/auditors, brokers, bankers and actuaries. He has acted in cases involving not only alleged negligence, but also cases involving alleged breach of fiduciary duty and attempts to make professionals vicariously liable for the fraudulent conduct of their partners. Cases include:

• Acting for accountants/auditors alleged to have given negligent tax advice to a film financing partnership.
  
  
• Acting for and against pension scheme actuaries in claims relating to scheme valuations and equalisation of benefits.
  
  
• Acting for a start-up high technology company in a claim against the designers of its software and electronic systems.
  
  
• Acting for the solicitor partners in Dadourian Group International v Sims.
  
  
• Acting for the claimant in a claim against a major investment bank for breaches of the FSMA regulatory regime in the conduct of investment business.
