Emily's practice covers all aspects of contentious and non-contentious private client work. her experience includes:

• Acting for the estate of a deceased trustee in defence to claims relating to the dishonest management of a private family settlement and a will trust.
  
  
• Acting for both claimants and defendants (including executors) in cases involving the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975.
  
  
• Advising on the construction and effect of express trusts and wills, including issues of rectification.
  
  
• Acting in cases involving a wide variety of breaches of duty by trustees, including issues concerned with loyalty, care and skill, dishonesty, limitation, exoneration and indemnity.
  
  
• Advising clients on the existence and extent of beneficial interests in land, whether under express, resulting or constructive trusts.
  
  
• Advising on the duties and liabilities of executors, administrators, and trustees de son tort.
  
  
• Claims concerning the validity of wills by reason of the testator's incapacity, the effects of undue influence, or the satisfaction of formal requirements.
  
  
• Cases involving issues of probate and the administration of estates.
