For more than 20 years Ian has advised and appeared regularly in the Cayman Islands in connection with a wide range of commercial disputes. He has appeared in two of the longest trials ever conducted in that jurisdiction (the Tower case lasting some nine months in 1987 and H of H lasting some three months in 1993.  He is presently acting in connection with a hedge fund dispute.

In addition, he has extensive experience of advising and appearing in Bermuda; (he appeared as leading counsel in the long running Bermuda Fire and Marine trial, and is presently advising in connection with the failure of a prominent hedge fund).

Over the years he has advised in respect of disputes in Hong Kong, Turks & Caicos, Kenya and elsewhere.
