Joanna has experience in advising on and appearing at arbitrations both at home and abroad: most recently:

• A 3 day arbitration pursuant to the laws of St Vincent and the Grenadines concerning a construction contract for a substantial residence on Mustique.
  
  
• A two week multi-million $ arbitration concerning the construction of a multi-national distribution agreement governed by New York Law.
  
  
• The preparations for an ongoing arbitration concerning a dispute over agreements facilitating the sale of an oil rig off the coast of Venezuala.
  
  
• An arbitration concerning the negligence of construction professionals in the construction of an underground car park.
  
  
• A two week multi-million pound ICC arbitration in Paris concerning the design and supply of naval guns.

Dispute resolution as a party representative

Joanna is regularly instructed to act in many forms of dispute resolution.  She has considerable experience of drafting mediation statements and acting in mediations and has very recently represented clients at a number of successful mediations.  She has also advised on and acted in arbitrations, adjudications, expert determinations and early neutral evaluations.

Mediation

Joanna is an accredited mediator and has gained in experience over the last few years, acting as mediator in various different kinds of dispute, from complex multi-party negligence claims to a claim against the police.  

Joanna has recently joined a new Savills initiative to offer a team of experienced mediators to their clients.
