John has appeared in a number of substantial arbitrations in the last five or six years.  In particular:

• Acting for a bank in recovering the balance of monies owed in respect of the installation of a chemical plant in Indonesia.
  
  
• Acting for the State Bank of India in a claim for damages for breach of a software licence agreement.
  
  
• Successfully defending a claim arising out of the acquisition of a chemical plant in Macedonia.
  
  
• Acting in a multi-million pound claim arising out of the sale of defective cargoes of oil to the state of Romania.
