Jonathan regularly acts, both led and unled, in large and complex international commercial disputes and in obtaining freezing and related relief as part of them. His recent cases include the following:

• Succesfully acting (with Richard Spearman QC) for the claimant trustee in an multi-jurisdictional asset recovery exercise arising out of the largest pensions fraud since Maxwell, the English limb being reported as ITS v GP Noble Trustees Ltd & others (2010) and the Australian proceedings as ITS v Morris (2010). Proceedings continuing.

• Acted (unled) for US investment bank in dispute over expropriation of Middle-Eastern joint venture assets.
  
  
• Yukos v Russian Government: instructed (with Brian Green QC) on behalf of Yukos in relation to offshore elements of US $50 billion arbitration against the Russian Government.
  
  
• Acting (with Michael Tennet QC) for insurers in relation to multi £bn inherited estate issues.
  
  
• Acting (unled) in relation to substantial international Latvian shipping assets.
