Jules Sher QC retires from the Bar
01/07/2010
Jules Sher QC retired from practice at the Bar on 30 June 2010 at the expiration of his term of office as Head of Chambers. He is succeeded by John Martin QC, and Michael Furness QC has been elected Deputy Head of Chambers.
"Jules Sher has been instrumental in establishing Wilberforce Chambers at the forefront of commercial chancery practice", said John Martin QC. "He is widely acknowledged as one of the most effective advocates of his generation, with a reputation that extends far beyond the confines of Lincolns' Inn; and his enthusiasm for the life of the law has inspired countless barristers inside and outside chambers. We shall miss his wisdom and kindness enormously, but wish him the greatest happiness in his well-earned retirement."
