Michael Furness QC features in The Lawyer Hot 100

The Hot 100 2008, produced by The Lawyer highlights talented individuals who have had excellent years and continue to have impact within the legal world.

Seven barristers were singled out this year as 'The men and women you want on your side in disputes ranging from tax to industrial espionage'. The highly respected Michael Furness QC was included in this elite group.

But in the Arctic Systems case, Furness' arguments were compelling and showed exactly why his clients praise his understated style.

Although the court sided with the 'little guy' in Arctic Systems, Furness showed the reason why he is a Government favourite. He made a difficult case swing towards the Revenue & Customs before eventually conceding defeat.
