He has substantial experience of company and partnership disputes where there has been a breach of fiduciary duty, unfair prejudice or abuse of expulsion powers by the majority. He has acted in a number of complex and high profile cases and obtained a variety of interim remedies. A selection of cases is as follows:

Ackerman v Ackerman [2011] EWHC 3428: Trial of a large shareholders' dispute, challenge of an expert determination dividing the shareholders' business interests by Andrew Thornhill QC.

Re a Guernsey Hotel [2011]: Shareholders' dispute in relation to the ownership and control of a well-known Guernsey hotel.

Re a Bank (Pakistan) [2011]: Shareholders' dispute in relation to a large Pakistan bank, complex valuation provisions of minority shareholding.

Re ABC Trust [2011]: multi million pound dispute against former trustees for breach of trust in relation to corporate investment policy and conflict of interest.  Dog-leg claims, sham and reflective loss issues where trust asset is company shareholding.

Re XYZ Trust [2011]: acting for former trustees and trustee company directors defending claims of fraudulent dissipation of trust assets and negligent investments.

Jenington v Assaubayev [2010]: Kazakhstan gold mine fraud claim of over £200 million, worldwide freezing injunctions, search and seizure orders and disclosure orders.

Re SphinX Hedge Funds [2010]: acting for substantial creditor in the wind up of the SphinX hedge funds.  Advice on potential scheme of arrangement.

Reeves v Sprecher [2008] All ER(D) 311: multi-jurisdiction hedge fund dispute between co-shareholders.

Levi v Taylor & Leeds FC [2008]: summary judgment granted in favour of director not held liable for acts of company.

Re Aviva: insurance re-attribution of inherited estate.  Advising the policyholder advocate in relation to Aviva's 'orphan assets'.

Re a Company [2006]: enforcement of shareholders' agreement, joint venture, conflict of laws.

British Midland Tool v Midland International Tooling & Others [2003] 2 BCLC 523: leading case on directors' fiduciary duties and the duty not to compete.

Walton v Reverter Plus Ltd: alleged forgery of members' register and meaning of 'holding' and 'subsidiary' companies in the Companies Act.

Re a Firm of Solicitors [2008]: complex partnership dispute between partners in a firm of solicitors.
