Jamie joined Chambers in 2016 upon the successful completion of his third six pupillage during which his pupil supervisors were Jonathan Hilliard QC and Martin Hutchings QC. Jamie previously undertook a 12 month pupillage at a magic circle commercial set.
Jamie studied Law at King’s College London and graduated in 2011 with a first class degree. He was awarded the Harold Potter Memorial prize for the best overall result the second year examinations, the Dechert Prize for the best result in Property Law, the School of Law Prize for the best result in Tort Law, the Bird & Bird Prize for the best result in Intellectual Property Law and the Norton Rose Prize for the best result in Russian Law. Jamie has also completed the BCL at Balliol College, Oxford, where he was awarded a scholarship by the Oxford University Faculty of Law. During his BPTC Jamie taught trusts and wills as a part-time teaching fellow at UCL. He is also a Lord Denning scholar of Lincoln’s Inn.
During pupillage, Jamie gained experience across a wide range of Chambers’ practice areas, including:
- Property, including Landlord and Tenant
- Civil Fraud
- Commercial litigation
- Wills and probate
- Professional negligence
During his third six pupillage, Jamie was instructed in a number of matters in his own right. He is developing a broad commercial chancery practice, and is happy to be instructed on his own or as part of a team.
