Iain Pester successful in Danilina v Chernukhin, Navigator Equities Ltd and Kargin
On 7 February 2019, Teare J handed down judgment in Danilina v Chernukhin, Navigator Equities Ltd and Kargin [2019] EWHC 173 (Comm). The case concerned a dispute relating to a valuable development in Moscow and the true identity of parties to a joint venture agreement. Following a four week trial in the Commercial Court in November and December 2018, the Judge dismissed Mrs Danilina’s claim against the Third Defendant, Mr Kargin, valued in excess of US$100 million.
Iain Pester appeared for Mr Kargin and was instructed by Anthony Riem of PCB Litigation LLP.
The case has attracted widespread media attention including in The Times, Financial Times and The Telegraph.
