Wilberforce features three times in EG’s “Top 10 Property Cases of 2019”
EG (Estates Gazette) has published their list of the top 10 most significant property law cases of 2019. Three of the high-profile cases listed by EG involve Wilberforce members, including their #1 case of the year!
EG’s top property case of 2019 is Canary Wharf v European Medicines Agency [2019] EWHC 335 (Ch). Wilberforce is proud to have appeared on both sides of this momentous case: Joanne Wicks QC and Jonathan Chew for Canary Wharf, and Jonathan Seitler QC and Emer Murphy for EMA.
Jonathan Seitler QC’s case of University of London v Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure Limited [2019] EWCA Civ 2075 was handed the number 4 spot. EG spoke to Jonathan about the landmark case in this short video.
Awarded the number 7 spot was Tiffany Scott QC and Charlotte Black’s Supreme Court case of Sequent Nominees Ltd v Hautford Ltd [2019] UKSC 47. You can listen to this podcast where EG’s legal and professional team – Sarah Jackman and Jess Harrold – countdown from #10 to #6.
