Shoosmiths – Back to Basics III: Focus on the Future

Martin Hutchings KC, Harriet Holmes and Daniel Petrides are speaking at the third Shoosmiths’ annual Back to Basics conference in Birmingham. The conference will have a ‘future focus’ theme with a full day of panel discussions, technical training, market updates and networking.

Martin, Harriet and Daniel are speaking on “How do tenants avoid the landlord recovering the cost of improvements?”. They will discuss the increase of claims of this nature and how to tackle them.

Other talks will discuss topics such as:

  • How does the construction of your property impact on liabilities?
  • Green leases – power and tech, the new kids on the block Q&A session
  • Being an unwilling landlord – what responsibilities do you have and how to avoid any traps
  • A panel session on what we can expect from the new Government for those who occupy property
  • How demise clauses can impact dilapidations
  • A panel session on the workplace of tomorrow
