Clare will be speaking on “Who else is in the room? AI, privilege and the confidentiality problem” alongside Roberta Harvey (Forsters), Maxine Mossman (Clifford Chance) and Jessica Vickers TEP (Mourant).
The talk will cover how advisers are already using AI to research and draft private client work. Much less settled is what that does to privilege and confidentiality: prompts containing sensitive family information, advice generated by sophisticated software, output shared between lawyers, trustees and other advisers. The panel looks at emerging guidance, litigation privilege, waiver and the safeguards firms and fiduciaries should know.
