Pensions Lecture – War and Peace: The story of pensions liberation

Tuesday 23 June 2015
6.30pm - 7.30pm
The Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1PL
ÂŁ70 + VAT | 1.0 CPD

Wilberforce Chambers invites you to a series of lectures by senior practitioners on technical topics of particular interest to non-contentious pensions lawyers. Wilberforce Chambers has a well-established reputation in the field of pensions law, due in large part to the late Edward Nugee QC, to whose memory these lectures are dedicated. The fields to be covered are section 75, South West Trains agreements, TUPE transfers and pensions flexibility and the barristers speaking have been heavily involved in advising and litigating in these areas, which enables them to share valuable insights into the more difficult issues which arise in practice.

The last lecture in our series is:

The transfer of pension rights under TUPE

  • Pensions liberation and the Scorpion campaign
  • The creeping tide of pensions flexibility
  • Two inconsistent policies: where are we now?

Speakers:

Emily Campbell and Emer Murphy

Cost:
ÂŁ70 + VAT = ÂŁ84.00 per lecture, or a discounted rate of ÂŁ250 + VAT = ÂŁ300 for all four lectures.
