This Property Breakfast Briefing session will discuss the remedy of ‘Forfeiture & Relief’, including:

  • Waiver
    • Can you contract out of the doctrine of waiver?
    • Should waiver operate after service of a s.146 notice?
    • Whose waiver is it anyway?
  • Relief from forfeiture:
    • Is it ever too late to seek relief?
    • What conditions can be attached to relief?
    • Can relief be granted to sub-tenants on different terms?
    • Costs of relief: is it a one-way street?
  • Relief and deposits: can you get your deposit back?

Join Zoë Barton KCHarriet Holmes and Daniel Petrides as they host this breakfast briefing.

This session will be hosted from 8.30am at our new building, 77 Chancery Lane. We will be serving pastries and hot drinks upon arrival, and the talk will start at 8.45am.
