Ground-breaking judicial decision in Nortel
The Canadian and US Courts hearing an unprecedented joint cross-border trial have delivered their judgments as to how the Nortel Group’s residual assets should be distributed. In groundbreaking judgments, both Judges agreed that those US$7bn worth of assets should be distributed on a ‘pro-rata’ basis, the result contended for by the UK Pension Scheme.
