Lionel Smith elected as a Fellow of the British Academy

Wilberforce Chambers congratulates Lionel Smith on his election as a Fellow of the British Academy.

Each year, the British Academy, the UK’s national academy for the humanities and social sciences, elects outstanding UK-based scholars to its fellowship, in recognition of their distinction in these fields.

Lionel joined Wilberforce as an associate member in 2025. He is Professor of Comparative Law at the University of Oxford.
