Practice Director Nicholas Luckman to speak at JUSTICE diversity event
Following a report produced last year by JUSTICE entitled ‘Increasing Judicial Diversity’, the law reform and human rights organisation will be running an invitation-only event later this month exploring the ‘diversity deficit’ in our senior judiciary and featuring our Practice Director Nicholas Luckman as one of the conference’s speakers.
Nick will form part of panel of practitioners working in different legal sectors to consider both the main obstacles to diverse professions and the levers for change. Diversity in the legal profession is a subject that Nick is particularly familiar with and passionate about; he recently prepared a dissertation for his Masters that investigated and analysed the importance of retaining talent that is being lost through attrition rates amongst women barristers during their career, and considered whether the gender diversity imbalance is important to clients and society.
‘Diverse Judges, Diverse Professions?’ will take place on 27 February at the Norton Rose Fulbright London office.
