The Rt Hon the Lord Etherton GBE KC PC
We are very sad to announce that Lord Etherton, Chancellor of the High Court between 2013 and 2016 and Master of the Rolls between 2016 and 2021, as well as a member of these Chambers from 1975 to 2000, passed away on 6 May aged 73.
Terry was a truly lovely man, an inspiring judge and leader, with a passionate commitment to access to justice, and an enduring friend to Chambers.
Our thoughts are with his husband, Andrew, and family. We wish Andrew and them all a long life.
