Wilberforce announces appointment of Nicholas Luckman
Wilberforce Chambers is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Luckman to the position of Practice Director with effect from 1 January 2014.
Nick Luckman is currently Practice Director at XXIV Old Buildings. He will head the clerking staff at Wilberforce, with Mark Rushton promoted from team leader to be his deputy; and he will work alongside John Treacy, currently our Deputy Chief Executive, who will be taking charge of all of the non-clerking aspects of chambers’ business.
John Martin QC, Head of Chambers, said:
“We are delighted that Nick Luckman will be joining us as Practice Director. He is an undoubted star of the clerking world, with a formidable reputation internationally and domestically and a proven record of successful practice development. Declan Redmond, who leaves at the end of the year, will be a hard act to follow; but Nick Luckman is the ideal person, with Mark Rushton and the rest of Wilberforce’s renowned clerks, to maintain and develop chambers’ exceptional reputation for client care. With John Treacy promoted to take charge of the non-clerking aspects of the business, Wilberforce will be ideally placed to provide an outstanding service to clients.”
