Wilberforce Chambers invites you to a series of lectures by senior practitioners on topics of particular interest to non-contentious pensions lawyers.

This year’s talks are chaired by Jonathan Hilliard QC and James McCreath.

The 3rd lecture in our series is:

Public and European aspects of pensions law

Speakers: Paul Newman QC, Jonathan Hilliard QC, Thomas Seymour and Jamie Holmes

  • Extrinsic contracts and estoppel in public-sector pension schemes: what, if anything, is the relevance of any limits on the authority’s powers?
  • The implications of Hampshire v PPF
  • Judicial review of the Regulator, in scheme funding, moral hazard, and PPF levy

Time:
6.30pm – 7.30pm followed by drinks.
(Registration and welcome drinks from 6.00pm)

Fee:
£70 + VAT = £84.00 per lecture, or a discounted rate of £250 + VAT = £300 for all four lectures.
