Overview
John became our Executive Director in January 2014. In this role he is jointly responsible for the management of Chambers, and for ensuring a strategic approach to our business practices and organisational planning. He is a member of both our Management Board and Development Committee as well as a number of our key sub-committees, including those responsible for tenancy and marketing. He also heads the administrative and support staff functions and has overall responsibility for the efficient functioning of all non-clerking operational aspects; including finance and fee collection, compliance and regulatory matters, IT, HR and premises management.
John holds a degree in Management with first class honours from London University. In addition to his work commitments, John is a school governor at a local primary school and acts as a mentor to undergraduate and post-graduate students on his former university’s annual mentoring programme. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors.
