London Arbitration Week: Advocacy Lessons from The Mandela Brief for International Arbitration Today

Thursday 4 December 2025
Charles Russell Speechlys, London

As part of London Arbitration Week, Thomas Grant KC is speaking on a panel discussing “Advocacy: Lessons from The Mandela Brief for International Arbitration Today” on Thursday 4 December 2025.

Thomas is speaking with Jue Jun Lu and Gareth Mills (Charles Russell Speechlys). In this session, the panellists will discuss modern-day challenges in international arbitration – geopolitics, trade tariffs, state-investor frictions, ESG and ethical dilemmas, and cultural misgivings from the West to the East – and how to deliver successful, impactful advocacy in such a rapidly evolving global landscape.

Thomas’ book on the life and work of Sir Sydney Kentridge KC, The Mandela Brief, was published in Summer 2022.
