WATCH: Pensions Lecture #1: Overpayments and underpayments – recent developments

Friday 11 June 2021
11am - 12pm
Online, Zoom
1.0 CPD

This is the first Pensions Lecture in our latest series of lectures by pension law practitioners on current topics of particular interest. Wilberforce has a well-established reputation in the field of pensions law, due in large part to the late Edward Nugee QC, to whose memory these lectures are dedicated.

This webinar is delivered by Andrew Mold QC, Edward Sawyer, Tom Robinson and Simon Atkinson, and chaired by Emily McKechnie. Their talk will cover:

  • The latest on recovery of overpayments: limitation, recoupment and s 91 PA 1995
  • Equitable set-off in statutory schemes: Re Mr E, PO-29198
  • The effect of limitation periods on claims for benefit underpayments following Lloyds and Axminster
