Alice Hawker joins Wilberforce Chambers

Wilberforce Chambers is delighted to announce that commercial chancery junior Alice Hawker has joined Chambers, with effect from today, Monday 14th February 2022.

Alice has significant experience of property litigation, and is also regularly instructed on cases involving civil fraud and asset recovery, corporate and personal insolvency, and company and partnership matters. She is described by the 2022 edition of The Legal 500 as “an exceptional junior barrister”; “her advocacy comes across as beyond her years and she has an excellent feel for the court room and the direction of the judge”.

Brian Green QC (Head of Chambers) says, “We are very pleased to welcome Alice to Wilberforce.  She has developed a strong commercial chancery practice and built substantial reputations with instructing solicitors, and is an excellent addition to our exceptional juniors in Chambers. It is rare for someone of Alice’s call to have received the recognition that she has in the Legal 500, and we very much look forward to her practice and reputation only growing over the coming years.”

Nicholas Luckman (Practice Director) says, “We are delighted that Alice has chosen to join Wilberforce. She is an excellent addition to Chambers, and her busy practice in property, insolvency and commercial disputes makes her a perfect fit for Chambers, as we continue to expand our offering in those areas.”

For further information in relation to Alice’s experience and expertise, please contact Nicholas Luckman (nluckman@wilberforce.co.uk) or Danny Smillie (dsmillie@wilberforce.co.uk).
