Mr H TV & ITV 2 Judgment

Max Mallin acted for the Claimant TV production company in this claim for breach of contract against ITV2. The Claimant was successful after a 3 week Commercial Court trial in front of Flaux J in the Commercial Court.

The case has attracted a good deal of media attention as ITV2’s principal witness was the well-known TV personality, Peter Andre. Max cross examined Mr Andre for 2 days following which the judge concluded in his judgment that Mr Andre was “an extremely unattractive witness” who had given evidence on some issues that was “not truthful”. The figure for damages is yet to be finalised but will be about £4 million plus interest.
