QIPCO v Phoenix Ancient Art features in The Times
The case of Qatar Investment and Projects Holding Co and His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Abdulla Al Thani v Phoenix Ancient Art S.A. featured in yesterday’s edition of The Times. The dispute concerns a member of the Qatari royal family, who is claiming the two classical statues he purchased from a Geneva company for £3.75 million are fakes.
Gilead Cooper QC and Francesca Mitchell acted for Phoenix Ancient Art, the respondent, in the appeal that was heard recently in the Queen’s Bench division of the High Court. He also acted for the client in the first instance proceedings (as defendant).
