Described as a an exceptional advocate withphenomenal insight and a sharp technical mind, Roxane specialises in trusts, estates and private client disputes, with a particular emphasis on trusts issues in the divorce context.

Roxane has extensive experience of high-value cross-border litigation. She is described as “excellent at cases involving international jurisdictions” (Chambers & Partners 2025). Recent cases have involved disputes and/or complex asset structures in Switzerland, Singapore, the Isle of Man and the Bahamas. Roxane is called to the Geneva Bar and is recognised as a “go to” for disputes involving Switzerland

Roxane is consistently ranked in Chambers & Partners. She is described as a “brilliant lawyer” with a “sharp tactical mind” (Chambers & Partners 2025). It is said that “she knows when to apply a light touch and when to come down with a hammer, both in and out of the courtroom.” (Chambers & Partners 2024). Trusts, probate and estates: contentious

Roxane’s recent notable work includes:

  • Acting for the wife (with Matthew Paton, 5 Stone Buildings) in the context of divorce proceedings in Switzerland involving significant transfers (est. £250m) by the husband into an offshore trust. Successful applications for injunctive relief in the offshore jurisdiction.
  • Successful application for disclosure of the will of a deceased judgment debtor against whom a post-judgment freezing order had been made to secure the enforcement of a $40m judgment in a civil fraud claim (with Louise Hutton KC, Essex Court Chambers).
  • Representing the minor and unborn beneficiaries in a Public Trustee v Cooper blessing application involving an Isle of Man Trust ($25m) and complex U.S. tax issues (with Gilead Copper KC representing the executors)
  • Advising (with Alice Hawker) on the effect of a financial remedy order on the beneficial ownership of a $45m property in the context of repossession proceedings.
  • JK v LM [2024] EWHC 1442 (Fam) – Successful High Court application for a freezing order, restriction and legal services order in a Schedule 1 case involving a Czech multimillion-pound trust and dispositions to third parties.
  • Acting for the executors of a multimillion-pound estate in a will validity dispute involving valuable artwork and charitable trusts.
  • Advising the mother of minor children in an Inheritance Act claim involving a pre-existing Schedule 1 order, a deed of covenant to make provision by will, and allegations of financial non-disclosure.

Other notable contentious work includes:

  • Advising a Singaporean entity on legal challenges against an arbitration award in Switzerland in the context of an ongoing multi-billion investor state claim against Australia (2025),
  • Acting for HRH Princess Haya of Jordan in matrimonial proceedings against her former husband, HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Haya Bint Al Hussein v His Highness Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum [2021] EWFC 94) while on secondment at Payne Hicks Beach (2020)

Before joining Chambers, Roxane was on secondment with Farrer & Co’s Contentious Trusts & Estates team during which time she advised and assisted on a wide range of contentious matters, including cross-border trust disputes, trust variation, removal of trustees and administrators, company strike off and contempt proceedings.

Trusts, probate and estates: non-contentious

Roxane advises on a wide range of non-contentious private client matters, both domestic and with international elements.

Roxane’s recent non-contentious work includes:

  • Representing the minor and unborn beneficiaries in a Public Trustee v Cooper blessing application involving an Isle of Man Trust (c. $25m) and complex U.S. tax issues (with Gilead Copper KC representing the executors);
  • Advising the wife on financial remedy claims in Switzerland and England, remedies to set aside dispositions to offshore trustees and available injunctive relief in both jurisdictions (assets c. £40m).
  • Advising a trust beneficiary in respect of a large trust restructuring (assets worth c. £65m. including a large property portfolio in England and oil and gas companies in Cyprus) and its impact on the beneficiary’s spousal maintenance obligations under a pre-existing financial remedy order.
  • Advice on securing third-party disclosure order against a Swiss pension provider and freezing orders in Switzerland in aid of financial remedy proceedings in England.
  • Advising executors on the effect of Swiss Inheritance Contracts in the context of an international succession.
  • Advising on the recognition and enforcement of a Swiss order for the sale of valuable artwork located in England.
  • Advising on the legal status of a covenant to make financial provision upon death in an Anglo-Swiss succession dispute involving a Swiss succession agreement.
  • Advising Swiss trustees on strike off and voluntary liquidation of an English limited company held in trust.
