He specialises in general commercial disputes, with a particular emphasis on civil fraud, as well as shareholder disputes and commercial cases with a trusts angle.
Bobby appears regularly in both the Commercial and Chancery Courts as well as in international arbitrations, and is an experienced, robust and effective cross-examiner. He has substantial offshore experience, including appearing frequently in the BVI, DIFC and ADGM.

Commercial disputes
Bobby is a standout performer at the Commercial bar, and specialises in high-value and complex commercial disputes.
He is well-suited to the demands of commercial work, and combines intellectual rigour with the tenacity needed to deal with complex and hard-fought commercial claims. Bobby’s experience and skill in cross-examination also make him well suited to witness-heavy cases (both witnesses of fact and experts).
Bobby’s commercial practice predominantly sees him instructed in the Commercial Court; he also frequently deals with commercial matters in the Chancery Division; and in international arbitrations. Bobby’s work often includes an international element; Bobby is also a member of the BVI bar and also appears frequently in the DIFC, as well as in the ADGM.
Bobby is comfortable with the most difficult of commercial cases, including multi-party disputes and long trials. He has been instructed in numerous disputes worth billions of dollars, and some of the highest-profile litigation in recent years. For many years, he has been successfully leading large teams in very high-value cases. He is also happy to be instructed to work alongside other silks as required by the demands of a case.
He also has substantial experience of commercial interim remedies, including obtaining – or setting aside – freezing and proprietary injunctions. He is also experienced in committal applications.

Bobby is a leading civil fraud practitioner, who is highly-regarded in the industry, and much in-demand. He has an extremely busy civil fraud practice, and has been instructed in many of the most significant fraud claims, both in England and Wales and in other jurisdictions, in recent years.
Bobby has extensive experience of fraud claims that are of extremely high value (including claims worth a number of ÂŁbillions), and of great complexity, including claims that raise issues in multiple jurisdictions, and that raise questions of foreign law.
Bobby is adept – and experienced – at leading the counsel team (usually with one or multiple juniors) in complex cases. He is also happy to act alongside another silk in a bigger team, in very large Commercial Court (or similar) matters.

Bobby has a busy insolvency practice and has acted in a number of high-profile and difficult cases.
