Bobby Friedman and Jack Watson to be appointed King’s Counsel

Wilberforce Chambers is pleased to announce that Bobby Friedman and Jack Watson are to be appointed King’s Counsel.

Bobby, called to the Bar in 2011, specialises in general commercial disputes, with a particular emphasis on civil fraud, as well as shareholder disputes. He appears frequently in both the Commercial Court and Chancery Division, as well as in international arbitrations. He also has a busy offshore practice, including in the BVI, DIFC and ADGM. He is regularly instructed in cases of the highest value and importance, of substantial complexity, and with international elements across many jurisdictions. Chambers & Partners describes Bobby as “a tenacious and extremely impressive barrister who is highly commercial in his mindset and excellent on his feet”, while Legal 500 said, “Bobby is commercially aware, astute and highly intelligent. He is pure class.”

Jack, called to the Bar in 2012, has a busy courtroom based commercial and insolvency practice with particular emphasis on commercial fraud, shareholder disputes, trusts and technical insolvency. In particular, Jack has considerable experience acting in high-value and complex disputes regularly in cases involving an international dimension. He has recently appeared unled or leading larger teams both at appellate level in the Privy Council and Court of Appeal. Chambers and Partners says, “Jack is exceptional across the board”, a “terrific advocate” “whose talent for lateral thinking far exceeds his year of call”, and that he “is adept at navigating complex matters and difficult circumstances”.

Wilberforce Chambers would like to congratulate both Bobby and Jack on their tremendous achievement.

The formal ceremony will take place at Westminster Hall on Monday 23rd March 2026.
